Mood: a little worried

After much though ive come to a hard conclusion. Im going to be leaving DA, probably for good.
There are three reasons for this:

one - This place is a black hole and it causes addiction as ive found most unnearving. I never thought id become the type of person who would check DA almost obsessivly everyday and i dont like it, i dont like it when anything takes charge of me in a way i dont control. Becasue of this hold it has on me and others, i cant let myself continue to be subjected by it.

two - This site is one giant undeserving ego boost. In the time ive been here VERY FEW people have ever left me constructive critism on my work. Its been a lot of ohhs and ahhs. Im okay with that, i like compliments just as much as the next person, but i cant grow if no ones telling me what is good and bad.

three - this is the most shocking and what sent me over the edge to make this decision. DA IS THE BLACK MARKET OR ART.

i think anyone who chooses to be a part of this "community" needs to read that and reevaluate their time here. So many people here have had their art stolen and found it on other places online. DA does nothing to protect you or your art, in fact with that dissagrement, the corporation known as DA could be stealing and selling your art themselves.

This community is falling apart, it has been for so long now. Im happy with the time ive had here, and im sad to leave my subscription knowing ine wasted my money and to extent my time here.

Im removing everything in my gallery and scraps, ill continue to be around for the next week or so to keep this journal up and towards the end, let everyone that i can, know what trouble lie ahead.

Please, there are some of you i really wish to keep in contact with, let me know if you have an alternate webiste or AIM address so i can keep in touch.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF CARL, HIS FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND LIFE.

A little history.
Since Carl's birth into my art last year, he's grown a little, gotten a family, and a place to live. He lives in a negitive dimension (could be known as hell) and also comes into real time by way of me. When in real time he isnt a material being. You can only see him and interact with him if you belive he is there. One of the plot points from my other comics i did was his interaction with a kid named Aaron. Carl hated Aaron and plotted to do awful things to him. However becasue Aaron didnt belive in him, nothing Carl did to him affected him.

In "Hell" his father is ruler of "dark." Not to be confused with Lucifer, ruler of Hell. A little clarification; this in no way is meant to be a spinoff on any religion. If anyone bombs me with religious hoo-haw, i'll ignore it.
The land of Darkness is in no way meant to be a bad place. It simply is where the dark side of peoples personalities go to reside. We all have a good side and a bad side, the good one goes to heaven or wherever, the bad one goes here. You bad side shows up as a beast of Darkness.

so on to the family.

Carl's Dad, Idris -(litterally meaning Eager Lord) rules over all darkness; night, shadows, ect. He's wicked cool, theres a picture of him and carl in my scraps i think.
Sally - (who will be seen later) is Carl's Mother. She's very motherly and at one point was a human. Carl gets all his good looks from Sally.
Trisha - Carl's older sister. She's actually only a half sister. She basicly spawned off of a hot rock after Idris spit on it. Hence, only a vauge resemblence.
Fenris - Is Carl's younger brother who will be seen later. He bares a really great resemblence to Idris.

Well, thats his family, onto friends.

Mikoto - Mikoto is the beast soul of a Human. Mikoto is a very kind and gentle fellow with only a few violent outburts here and there.
Stigma - The caretaker of Idris' kids. Being the lord of the dark is quite a handful as it is. Idris created him from the bark of a bent tree.
Kaposi - He'll show up later, but he is the best friend to Trisha, A dark soul.
Paul - Also will show up later. Best bud to Fenris.
Arki - Also will show up later. Trisha's boyfriend, one of the demons of the dark. When he comes into real time he does so under the form of a bat.

Well, that's what i have for now in terms of cherecter line-up. Be looking foreward to other creatures and those who where mantioned above but not seen!
